The Face Trust

  Who we are

Simon Weston

Our Patron

The Patron of The Face Trust is Simon Weston OBE, who suffered horrendous burn injuries when as a Welsh Guardsman, his transport ship the Sir Galahad was bombed and caught fire in the Falklands. Simon was rescued by helicopter and taken to the hospital ship Uganda where the treatment, which was to lead to scores of operations to reconstruct his face began. Now Simon is a household name, spending much his time working on behalf of former servicemen and women who, like himself, have been dreadfully injured.
